I've long been captivated by the early FA Cup's history, especially those charmingly named amateur teams. Travel issues and walkovers often disrupted the draws. Years ago, I created a custom league using the first 20 FA cup entrants in Terry's Premiership Football game, rating teams 'touchy, feely'. Recently, I replicated this, and with Chat GPT's help, I generated 100 early amateur teams. I ran two projects simultaneously, with Royal Engineers winning the 19-team league and Old Carthusians defeating Maidenhead 4-1 in the cup final replay. Initially, I had 20 teams in each division and 20 non-league teams. I then expanded to a 20-team Premier League, 24-team Championship, and numerous non-league teams. Now, we have 92 league sides and 100 non-league sides!
